Your information, treated with care

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy explains how Terry Watkins, doing business as PawLog (“PawLog,” “we,” or “us”), handles information when you use the pet-care app.

Information you provide

We may store account details such as your email address and display name; pet profiles and health-related care records such as conditions, allergies, medications, feeding plans, symptoms, vaccinations, appointments, and vet documents; and contact details you enter, including vet, emergency-contact, kennel, sitter, or business information. We also store care logs, check-ins, sharing permissions, and preferences such as time zone and reminders.

How we use information

We use this information to provide and secure PawLog, show care details to people you authorize, coordinate stays and handoffs, prepare summaries, process document scans you request, and send reminders or care-update messages according to your settings. We may use technical and diagnostic data to keep the service reliable and prevent misuse.

Document scanning and AI

If you scan a veterinary record, the image is uploaded temporarily and processed by the app’s AI services to transcribe visible information and prepare editable suggestions. PawLog attempts to remove the temporary upload after processing. Upload links may be publicly accessible while processing, so do not scan a document unless you accept that temporary exposure. Review every result against the original; AI can misread or omit information. The app stores the extracted text and any entries you confirm.

Sharing and service providers

Pet details may be shared with household members, sitters, kennels, or other caregivers when you invite them or arrange a stay. You control whom you invite and should share only what is needed. PawLog relies on hosting, authentication, database, email, file-storage, and AI providers to operate the service; those providers process information on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell personal information.

Retention, security, and your choices

We keep information while needed to provide PawLog, maintain account records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. You can review or update information in the app. Contact the operator to request account or data deletion; some records may remain for a limited period in backups or where retention is legally required. We use access controls and reasonable safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Children and sensitive information

PawLog is intended for adults managing pet care, not for children. Do not enter information about another person unless you have permission. Pet health records are not human medical records; avoid entering unrelated sensitive personal information.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. The operator of PawLog is Terry Watkins, doing business as PawLog. For privacy questions or requests, contact supportpawlog@gmail.com.
